Throwback Thursday “John Carpenter’s Halloween”

Throwback Thursday is a look at John Carpenter’s Halloween with how legends Stephen King and Wes Craven’s connections to it.

Interesting morning

As we creep closer to Halloween, This True Tuesday review features an investigation done by Ed and Lorraine Warren prior to the well known events that happened in Long Island, New York at the Amityville House.  The Conjuring is a 2013 movie directed by James Wan of Insidious fame.

Now either in my rush to get this article up so that I could work on completing The Terror Twins novel 1, “The Unknown,” (complete version) several annoying things kept happening while I tried to get supplemental material and checking to see if I had the right URL for Miss Lorraine’s website, which is the New England Society for Psychic Research.  It just seemed like something didn’t want me to get this up……but after an hour I finally have it published and ready to go.

The book pictured below is a biography of the Warrens by Gerald Brittle that former Horror Writer’s Association President and best selling author Deborah Leblanc suggested to me prior to my beginning the Terror Twins.  It sits on the shelf right next to my textbooks including Dr. June M. Pulliam’s Hooked on Horror text book she uses in her class at Louisiana State University.

October is horror month!

I just posted an article on Examiner about my goals to write every day this month in honor of horror month.

What a day

I spent the day working on “Terror Twins.”  I wrote a little over 7,000 words and I have at least another 20,000 to go before I am remotely satisfied.  Although ultimately, I may trim it down.

Now I am going to see if I can transition into some non fiction since I missed Random Movie Monday and the Sunday Night Spotlight.

Supernatural Sat Nite Review: Remakes #1

October 5, 2013 is the first review in the horror remake series.  This inaugural edition is Rob Zombie’s Halloween which didn’t impress me much and apparently I’m not the only one. Column features a quote from HWA 3x Bram Stoker Finalist and 4x WHC Bram Stoker MC Jeff Strand.
